Best known as Ireland’s top RTÉ Radio One DJ for over 40 years, what many don’t realise is
that Ronan Collins is also one of the country’s finest popular music singers. Stepping into
the vocal spotlight with the hit show, Reeling in the Showband Years and Ronan Collins
Sings Joe Dolan, he wowed audiences with his ability to match the legendary Joe Dolan’s
unique voice—no easy feat.
Now, after decades of playing the greatest classic songs on the airwaves, Ronan brings the soundtrack of his radio career to the live stage in his brand-new show, Songs from My
Radio Days. Backed by the Sugarcubes Big Band under the direction of Eugene McCarthy,
Ronan will perform a stunning setlist of legendary hits, including: Rhinestone Cowboy,
Make It Easy on Yourself, God Only Knows, That’s Life, Midnight Train to Georgia, Goodbye Venice Goodbye… and many more!
Joining Ronan on stage at The Helix, Dublin, on September 27th will be the talented Karen
Black and the Sugarcubes Big Band.
As Ronan himself says: “It’s always been about the songs for me, and I love bringing these
legendary hits to life on stage.”
