A
Midsummer Night's Dream is Shakespeare's first comedy and his original wedding play. Set it in the twilight world of the modern traveller, a group of people who live between cultures and for whom, like the play itself, boundaries are forever changing. Shakespeare is demonstrating throughout the piece that there is a complex array of conflicts existing in us all at any given time and that these conflicts are not unique to us, but are universal.
